How to Make:

  • Mix together finely minced ginger, minced garlic, soya sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, white wine vinegar, canola oil, salt and pepper.
  • In a large bowl, combine chopped Romaine heart, shredded cabbage, shredded carrot, sliced green onion, chopped cilantro, bean sprouts, drained Mandarin orange, toasted almonds, and broken ramen and toss with dressing.
  • Top with more almonds and ramen if desired and serve immediately.

How to Make:

  • Put cut and blanched broccoli florets in a bowl.
  • Whisk soya sauce, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, salt and sugar in another bowl.
  • Just before serving, pour dressing over broccoli and stir several times to coat broccoli with dressing.
  • Serve at room temperature.

How to Make:

  • Cut wonton wrappers and pork into thin strips.
  • Toast sesame seeds in skillet over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add some vegetable oil into a skillet and fry wonton strips golden brown.
  • Combine remaining 1/4 cup sesame seeds, flour, salt, and pepper in a heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag, and add pork. Seal and shake to coat.
  • Add some sesame oil into a skillet and fry half of the pork in hot oil, until golden.
  • Process toasted sesame seeds, half cup vegetable oil, vinegar and soya sauce until smooth.
  • Toss together the pork and sliced green onions.
  • Drizzle the soy sauce mixture and toss gently.
  • Combine mixed salad greens and shredded pork Choy.
  • Now top with fried wonton strips and pork mixture.
  • Garnish with celery and serve.

How to Make:

  • Preheat the broiler.
  • Tear Napa or Bok Choy cabbage and slice green onions, and place in a large salad bowl.
  • Crumble the ramen noodles into a broiler pan, add slivered almonds, sesame seeds, and broil for 2 minutes. Be careful not to scorch the sesame seeds.
  • In a jar with a tight lid, combine vegetable oil, sugar, vinegar, and salt with the contents of the seasoning pack. Cover the jar and shake well to blend the dressing.
  • Pour the dressing over the salad, add toasted sesame and almond, and toss to combine. 

5. Chinese Chicken Salad:

How to Make:

  • Shred chicken breast cooked with a little teriyaki sauce.
  • Add iceberg lettuce, cut in strips to it.
  • Then add sliced green onion, toasted sliced almonds, chopped cilantro and toasted sesame seeds.
  • Deep fry the maifun rice noodles and keep aside.
  • Combine sesame oil, salad oil, rice vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper in a bottle and shake well.
  • Just before serving, mix the dressing with the Chinese salad ingredients, and then fold in the rice noodles carefully.
  • Serve quickly.

6. Soba Noodles with Bell Pepper and Mango:

How to Make:

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, stir together rice vinegar, peanut oil, honey and hot Chinese mustard and bring to a boil.
  • Adjust the heat so the mixture simmers and cook for 3 minutes for the dressing.
  • Blanch cored and shredded Napa cabbage in salt water.
  • Mix this with thinly sliced green onion and minced Jalapeño chilli.
  • Pour the hot dressing over the top and stir to mix and wilt the cabbage.
  • Add lemon zest, lemon juice, seeded and thinly sliced bell pepper, chopped basil and chopped mint to the cabbage mixture and toss to mix well.
  • Add the noodles and toss again to mix well.
  • Top with mango slices and salted and roasted peanuts and serve at room temperature.

7. Chinese Pickled Cucumber:

How to Make:

  • Place cucumber slices into a colander in the sink and lightly sprinkle with salt, tossing to coat.
  • Allow cucumber to drain for 30 minutes.
  • Transfer cucumber to a large bowl.
  • Stir in rice vinegar and honey, making sure to coat each cucumber slice evenly.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Serve chilled.

8. Cold noodle Salad with Creamy Peanut Sauce:

How to Make:

  • Combine peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and 1/4 cup hot cooking broth and whisk vigorously until mixed. (It will be quite thick.)
  • Toss the peanut sauce with cooked Chinese wheat noodles until coated.
  • Stir in additional hot cooking broth — a few splashes at a time — until the dish is smooth and creamy.
  • Add red pepper flakes, additional soy sauce, and rice vinegar if desired.
  • Fold in 2/3 of thinly sliced bell peppers and 1/4 cup chopped peanuts.
  • Transfer noodles to serving dish and garnish with remaining peppers and peanuts.
  • Garnish with cilantro leaves and lime wedges.

How to Make:

  • Mix together mayonnaise, sugar, soya sauce, sesame oil, salt and hot mustard powder in a bowl.
  • In a large bowl, grate cooked but firm potato mix in well cooked and crumbled bacon, chopped bak choy, diced red pepper, chopped spring onion, chopped red chilli, chopped coriander and grated ginger.
  • Drizzle in the sauce and combine well.
  • Chill in the fridge for a minimum of 15 minutes before serving. This is also considered as one of the tastiest chinese vegetable salad recipe.

How to Make:

  • Mix together sliced cucumber, sliced red onion, cherry tomatoes, and shredded romaine lettuce, cooked and shredded chicken breast.
  • Mix with sweet sesame dressing made with rice vinegar, canola oil, sesame oil, minced garlic soya sauce, sugar, salt, and sesame seed.
  • Toss it well.
  • Add wonton strips, toss it gently and serve.
