Products Used For Creating The Foiled Lip Tutorial:

No, you don’t need anything fancy for this tutorial. This requires simple everyday products that you have in your makeup kitty. Here’s all you’ll need for the foiled lip makeup look:

  • Concealer
  • White shimmery eyeshadow
  • Cream highlighter
  • Nude lip gloss
  • Foundation
  • Compact

How To Create Foiled Lip Makeup Look:

Just follow this step by step tutorial and create a look that surely will make your friends envy you:

Step 1:

Apply foundation and compact all over your lips to neutralize your natural lip color. It is best to start with hydrating the lips and then apply your foundation. Then, apply a warm brown lip gloss all over your lips. It is best to use a lip gloss for this tutorial than using lipsticks as it will help in creating a nice glossy foil-like effect on the lips.

Step 2:

Then, pick a creamy highlighter and apply it all over your lips. Use a thin lip brush or your fingers and pat the product all over your lips with a very thin layer. I used the Kryolan Interferenz for this step. If you do not have a creamy highlighter, then you can use a creamy eyeshadow base like the Maybelline color tattoo or Street wear creamy eyeshadow base for this step.

Step 3:

Then, pick a shimmery white or cream colored eyeshadow and apply it to the center of your lower and upper lip area. This step needn’t be neat as we will be smudging and blending the product in the next step.

Step 4:

Now, use your finger and gently blend all the products applied earlier to create an even and smooth finish. To clean up the lip makeup and give a neat finish, take a concealer that is slightly lighter than your natural skin tone and outline your lips. Then, use a thin brush or even your clean fingers to softly blend it away to remove the harsh edges. Follow it with a translucent or compact powder to stop creasing or smearing of the product. It is important in this step to not to bring the concealer inside the lip area, as it might spoil all the fun of this lip makeup.

Step 5:

Now, apply a shimmery lip gloss all over your lips to add more oomph and foil-like feel to the lips. If you don’t have a shimmery lip gloss, then mix your favorite clear lip gloss with a gold or champagne eyeshadow to instantly make a glittery lip gloss. The lip gloss can be applied all over your lips or just applied to the center portion of your lower lip to create a fuller lip effect.

That’s it! You are done! Get ready to rock a themed or fantasy party. You can even use this lip makeup for a night out with friends. What’s more, you can achieve this look without spending a ton of your hard earned money! Who needs costly salons, when you can get the same look with easy to find products?
