Rains make your heart romantic and mushy, but they also give you dirty, smelly feet, muck-filled nails, grubby hands and make-up wearing off your face. How do you tackle all these beauty problems and still enjoy the rains? Tisha Khurana, Beauty Expert from Bottega Di Lungavita shares easy monsoon beauty fixes that will help you fight rainy days.
Get rid of smelly feet
Feet are at a high risk of constricting diseases in the monsoon season. One should always take care of their feet on priority basis during monsoons. Feet should always be kept dry to avoid the stink from the feet. The drier and cleaner the feet are, the more one will feel fresh and healthy. Applying moisturiser is the most important thing so the feet moisture remains unharmed.
For happy hands
Like any other body part, hands should also be kept clean during monsoons. First soak your hands in warm water for 15 minutes. The water should contain few drops of liquid hand wash and some fresh lemon juice. Complete this routine by applying a nail cream. Avoid pushing the cuticles, as nail fungal infections are common in monsoons. Cuticle oil must be used as cuticles become dry during monsoons.
The nails of your feet/hand should be trimmed, the basic personal hygiene that everyone should follow as it will prevent build up of germs. Foot scrubbing also helps washing out all dead cells to prevent any fungal infection. Soak your feet in the water for about 5 to 10 minutes at least once a day. Add soap liquid or shampoo to the water that has the necessary ingredients to absorb all the impurity and give soft texture to the feet.
During monsoons, a matte-finish primer and foundation helps your make-up last longer, despite the humidity and prevents it from oxidising, which is a result of excessive oil secretion on the skin. Other than that, one also uses face pack suitable for their skin types. Homemade pack can also help in keeping skin refreshing and glowing.
