Healthy Salads: Healthy and Colourful Salad Recipe

Bored of eating regular salad? Add a bit of colour to your salad, and stay healthy with this low calorie nutritious |meal. Want to know how? Try making this delicious and healthy salad recipe shared by Dana Smith, health enthusiast.


• Buffalo mozarella cheese
• Plum tomatoes
• Basil leaves
• Salt
• Black pepper
• Olive oil

Although this is an original Italian salad recipe, some add other ingredients according to their taste. They include:

• Black olives
• Sliced potatoes
• Grated carrot
• Chopped garlic
• Balsamic vinegar


1. Slice the mozarella as thinly as you can
2. Slice the tomatoes
3. Line a serving plate with alternate rows of cheese, tomatoes and basil
4. Or, place the mozarella on top of the tomatoes and sprinkle with basil
5. Add in the other ingredients if you wish
6. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and drizzle with some good olive oil.
