Everyday Kohl Eyes Makeup Tutorial:

Step 1:

The first step before you begin with any kind of makeup is to apply an eye cream to moisturize and relieve any dryness in the under eye area. You can gently use the ring finger to apply and blend the product and let it get absorbed. Then you need to apply your favorite concealer. If you have deep pigmented eyelids, then it is best to use a corrector before you use the concealer. To finish it, set the concealer with powder to avoid creases and fine lines.

Now it is the time for the real makeup!

Pick a medium champagne or light cream eyeshadow in satin or matte finish and apply it to the entire eyelid area. Layer the eyeshadow just above the moving lid area of your eyes. Pat the eyeshadow and avoid using the usual sweeping motion to build maximum color intensity. Then pick a medium matte brown eyeshadow and apply it to the crease area of your eyes. It is best to use a fluffy tapered blending brush to softly diffuse the color into the crease.

Step 2:

Gently lift your upper eyelid area and apply black kajal to the tight line of your eyes. This step will add a fuller lash effect.

Step 3:

Line your upper lash line slightly thicker with a black kohl or gel liner. Do not extend the line outside the eye area by winging it, but just follow the natural shape of your eyes.

Step 4:

Then pick a smudger or pencil brush to softly blend the kajal on the upper lash line of your eyes. Gently run the brush over the kajal without pulling or tugging the eyelid to soften the sharp edge of the kajal. Do not pull the kajal over the center of the eyelid area as it will look dramatic and messy, which might not work for the everyday look.

Step 5:

Apply the same kajal to the waterline and lower lash line of your eyes and softly smudge it with the same brush.

Step 6:

Now we need a matte black eyeshadow to set the kajal and prevent creasing later. If you are in a hurry and do not have the time to set the kajal with an eyeshadow, it is best to choose long wearing formulas. It will not smudge or crease after blending of the product. Pick a dark matte black eyeshadow and softly pat it all over the smudged kohl to set it. Curl your eyelashes and follow it up with mascara to create an illusion of thicker eyelashes. If you want to create a slightly intense and dramatic look, use false eyelashes or individual fake eyelashes. As a final touch, apply a matte cream eyeshadow to the brow bone and innermost corner of your eyes to highlight. And you are done!
