How To Stain Lips With Beetroot For Pink Lips:

Follow these steps to stain your lips to get that baby soft and baby pink look:

Step 1:

Start by washing the beetroot in plain water. Then, peel the outer skin with the help of a vegetable peeler. Cut smaller sizes and put it into the mixer. Grind the beetroot completely till you notice some watery liquid floating in the mixer. Do not add water to the beetroot as it will dilute the color vibrancy.

Step 2:

Carefully strain the juice of the grated beetroot without any lumps or pieces into a bowl and transfer it immediately into a clean storage container to store it for future use. Here, I used an old lip balm case to store the beetroot color. The container or jar has to be cleansed and well sanitized to avoid any bacterial infections. To make sure the case is clean, sanitize it with the help of a detergent solution or spray some rubbing alcohol to the container to clean it effectively.

Step 3:

Then, add about a teaspoon of coconut oil to the strained beetroot tint. You can use unscented coconut oils if the smell of the coconut oil bothers you. If you are looking for sheer lip color, you can add little more coconut oil. If you end up adding less than a teaspoon of oil, then this formula of the lip tint will turn out to be very dry and flaky on your lips. So, it is best to keep a ratio of half beetroot and one teaspoon of coconut oil. You can replace the coconut oil with Vaseline or beeswax as these two will also provide the same good results when it comes to moisturizing the lips.

Now use a small clean spoon to blend the mixture well. Then you can close the container and place it in the fridge to harden up. As this lip tint is completely natural and free from preservatives, you’ll need to store it in fridge to make it last longer.

Apply this natural beetroot lip tint in the morning and evening for a week and you will notice softer and pink lips. As soon as the lip tint is applied, it appears to be soft pink in color. But, once it oxidizes in about 5 to 10 minutes, your lips will take on a gorgeous reddish plum tint, which will look stunning on any skin tone! As the reddish plum tint lasts for good an hour on the lips, later reapplication will be required. The coconut oil in the formula helps to hydrate and moisturize your lips on application. The pigmentation of the beetroot lip tint is really good, though they require at least 2 layers to give a decent coverage.
