Almond and Banana Smoothie Recipe for Breakfast

A large glass of smoothie for breakfast will assure your hunger pangs arise only during lunch time. Nita Mehta, a celebrity Chef shares an easy smoothie recipe from her newly launched cookbook, Milkalicious. All you need is healthy tetra pak milk, almonds and banana.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp ground almonds (almond powder)
  • 2 cups cold milk (preferably pasturised tetra pak milk is ideal)
  • 1⁄4 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 10-12 ice cubes
  • 1 tbsp honey, or to taste
  • 1⁄2 ripe banana – chopped

Method:

If ground almonds are unavailable, grind 1⁄4 cup almonds in a small coffee grinder to a powder.

Put 2 tbsp ground almonds with half of a banana. Blend till smooth.

Add all the other ingredients to the mixer.

Check sweetness and add more honey as per your taste.

Serve sprinkled with a pinch of cinnamon powder if you like.
