What if the cure for cancer lies nowhere but in our own humble kitchen shelves? What if turmeric contains healing properties which we never imagined even in our wildest dreams? And what if we had been spending our lives fearing cancer, without knowing all this?
Well, I can see you are confused. You probably are now like ‘Turmeric? Cancer? WHAAAT!’
Happens. I understand. But this is no joke. Seriously, turmeric has got amazing properties that can prevent cancer. Otherwise why would 93 percent of the doctors worldwide recommend it? A legitimate point, right? I know.
Turmeric? What Does It Have!
Many a time we have this tendency of overlooking all those everyday edibles. And the same happens with turmeric too. It is Curcumin, an active ingredient in turmeric that does the magic.
Sounds unbelievable? Just give me a second.
Researchers at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas, have stated that till date no cancer has been found which was not affected by Curcumin. The reason being that curcumin is a versatile and unique compound. This magic ingredient can attack multiple targets linked with cancer, all at once. There had been hundreds of cell and animal studies which show that curcumin inhibits the growth of any cancer; including that of pancreas, prostate, and liver.
What Curcumin Does
There is an enzyme called COX-2, which is known to produce negative inflammation in the body which causes cancer. Curcumin plays a very important role in stopping the action of this negative enzyme.
Curcumin is also known to prevent the development of tumours. Every tumour, in order to mature or develop, needs blood supply. Curcumin helps in inhibiting this blood supply to the tumours.
Curcumin has been shown to kill cancer cells and also obstructs their re-growth.
It inhibits unwanted bacterial action within the stomach and intestines, and is also known to help protect the liver from damage.
What Other Researchers Say
Researchers from the Ludwig-Maximillians University, Munich, Germany conducted experiments which showed that curcumin can stop the spread of cancer from one organ to another.
Cheryl Myers, who is the head of Scientific Affairs and Education for EuroPharma Inc., considers curcumin to be the anti-cancer herb. His researches have shown that curcumin also has the ability to increase the activity of certain anti-cancer drugs and protect other healthy organs at the same time.
Researchers from the Department of Natural Science at Middlesex University did extensive studies on brain tumours, and their findings were remarkable. It has been found out that curcumin can stop cancer cells from spreading inside brain tumours.
The yellow powder residing within that glass jar in your kitchen is not as ordinary as you think. Till now we have been adding turmeric to our foods only to spice them up. But from now on, let’s also consume it to stay immune to one of the most deadly diseases in the world.
Go Turmeric! Go Cancer-free!
