Mint Eye Makeup Look Tutorial:
Let’s follow the steps to learn the mint eye makeup tutorial:
Before we move on to the actual tutorial, we’ll need to get our eyes ready! Gently pat some eye cream to the under eye area to hydrate and relieve the dryness. Apply and blend it completely with a light hand until it is fully absorbed into the skin. If you have pigmented eyelids, use an orange or peach colored corrector prior to the layering of the concealer. It will offer a flawless finish. Set the concealer with a translucent or compact powder to prevent creasing of the cream applied.
Now, pick a matte bright mint eyeshadow and apply it to the entire eyelid area. Restrict the application above the natural crease area of your eyes. Take a clean, fluffy blending brush and create a windshield wiper motion to softly blend the color into the crease.
Now, pick a medium matte brown eyeshadow which is just 2 to 3 shades darker than your natural skin tone and apply it over the crease area. You can also use a powder bronzer or contouring powder for this step, if you don’t own an eyeshadow that is a few shades darker than your skin tone. This step will add a transition from the fresh mint eyeshadow applied earlier.
Now pick a nice dark brown eyeshadow in a matte finish and apply it over the crease area. Place the dark brown eyeshadow at the outer corner of the eye and gently pull it inwards. In this step you should remember to place the full intensity of the dark brown eyeshadow only at the outermost V and the corner of your eyes. Now, apply the same mint eyeshadow to the innermost corner of your eyes to bring a brightening effect to your eyes. Then line your waterline with a white or nude colored eye pencil. As the look is very fresh, I wanted to use a light colored pencil for the waterline. But, you can also choose a brown or black colored pencil as per your preference.
Now pick a black kajal pencil and line your upper lash line thinly. Then draw a small C shape at the outermost corner of your eyes as shown in the image. This step will add a soft smokey look to the eye makeup. Then, pick a rounded smudger or a pencil type brush to softly blend the rough edges of the creamy kajal base applied earlier. Pull out a clean fluffy blending brush and create circular motions over the darker brown eyeshadow applied in the previous step and blend for a seamless finish. You should remember to achieve a soft transition of colors from mint, light brown to dark brown.
Apply a matte black eyeshadow over the smudged kajal to set it. Then, use the same pencil brush to gently blend out the kajal to the lower lash line of your eyes to create a soft balanced smokey look. Then, apply a shimmery highlighter shade to the brow bone area of your eyes.
Then, curl your eyelashes and apply lots of mascara to give an illusion of thicker and fuller eyelashes. If you want to create an intense and dramatic look, you can add false eyelashes.
Fresh and bright─is what describes this mint smokey look with a touch of black. Try it for a beach party or for any summer day to make you look fresh and bright all day long!
