Strawberries are rich in vitamin B-complex and also contain vitamin B-6, niacin and manganese, which is a powerful antioxidant and helps to maintain bone health. Strawberries also contain vitamin K and can help prevent high blood pressure and heart disease. Besides, strawberries can also help one maintain good eyesight.

If you want firm, wrinkle free skin, try eating a cup of strawberries daily, because strawberries contain the antioxidant ellagic acid, which protects the elastic fibres in our skin and prevent sagging. Ellagic acid also combats skin damage and removes impurities and softens the skin as well as soothe allergies and other irritants and provides protection against pollution.

Strawberries also contain biotin, which is important to build strong hair and nails. The phenols in strawberries also fight against many inflammatory disorders, such as osteoarthritis, cancer, asthma and atherosclerosis.
Strawberries also have great cleansing properties. Strawberry extracts are often used in skin cleansers, face washes and facemasks as they contain vitamin C, antioxidants and exfoliants. Additionally, strawberries contain salicylic acid, which helps get rid of dead cells and tightens pores.
Strawberries are also packed with vitamin C, which helps prevent colds and other respiratory diseases.  Vitamin C is also necessary for the formation of collagen, which keeps our skin youthful and prevents wrinkles and sagging. Strawberries can also be had as a post workout snack, because they contain the compound nitrate, which prevents muscles from being tired after vigorous exercise.

So, if you want to be healthy and having a glowing complexion and thick, beautiful hair, include this powerfood in your diet.
