A healthy body leads to a healthy life. This is not a mere phrase but a truth we should all embrace and understand.

A healthy body requires a healthy immune system, but what exactly does immune system do?

The immune system is the self defense mechanism of our body that protects us every day, every second from various infections. It is so fascinating to know that we possess such a system, which is like a huge force protecting the body against the foreign bodies. The soldiers in this system are known as antibodies, which travel through our blood stream all over to fight outsiders. Whenever there is an emergency call at times of injury to the body in the form of cold, flu, hypersensitivity, these antibodies of various cadres respond together to fight the situation and deliver to the best of their capabilities.

Lack of nourishment may lead to a lower performance of the immune system and thus the effects will be serious, for e.g. getting a cold or fever is a sign that one’s immune system has fallen weak and couldn’t fight the foreign bodies. Therefore, there is a need to boost the immune system and is a very important task as no one likes to bear cold, fever, flu every now and then. Cold is not cured by a vapour balm; it is cured by the immune system itself.
