DIY – Extremely Hydrating Hair Mask For Summers

  • Mango
  • Coconut Oil

Step 1:

Take a clean bowl and cut a banana into fine slices. You can use half or a full banana depending on your hair. If you have a very oily scalp, then it is best to start with half a piece of banana. The goodness of bananas for the hair and skin are well known. Bananas contain fructose, glucose, and sucrose, which are high fruit acids. It helps in keeping your hair hydrated, especially during summers as the hair tends to be dry and brittle. It reduces frizz and also helps in soothing dry and flaky scalp with regular usage.

Step 2:

Add 3 to 4 pieces of mango into the bowl of banana slices. Mango contains large portions of vitamins and minerals, which will help in deeply nourishing the. An amazing home-made hair conditioner, it will also promote hair growth.

Step 3:

Then, add 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. The goodness of coconut oil for hair needs no description. It has been used for centuries to treat all kinds of hair problems. Coconut oil has deep hydrating properties, which will smooth the hair and control frizz. If your scalp is extremely dry, then it is best to replace coconut oil with olive oil for this recipe.

Step 4:

Blend all the ingredients with a spoon and then add 4 tablespoons of yogurt. Yogurt accelerates hair growth, thereby providing healthy and beautiful hair. The protein content in natural yogurt provides deep hydration and strengthens hair without making it appear dry or dull. It also contains zinc and lactic acid properties, which stimulate blood circulation, thereby aiding hair growth. It acts as an amazing conditioner for damaged and dry hair.

Put the mixture in a blender and make a fine paste without any lumps for easy application on the hair. The mixture will appear as a light pastel yellow liquid.

Use a flat hair coloring brush and apply the mixture all over your hair starting from the scalp to the hair ends.


You can apply this mask on wet as well as dry hair, it doesn’t affect the results. Leave the hair mask for about 10 to 15 minutes and then rinse it off with a mild shampoo.
